In September/October 1983, Close Shave was formed and has performed continuously ever since. Most importantly, we have enjoyed sharing our music and introducing other men to the craft. There have been many changes of personnel over that time. As many as possible of these will perform in their original line-ups, showing the evolution of the group over the years. Looking for a mini golf , putt putt course, minature golf? Craig Bartlett’s Putt & Play business models are a complete system for financing, installing, and running a mini golf operation. The system is designed to work in a new location or within an already established business, fitting like a glove into existing infrastructure to create substantial reductions on investment costs, and to improve business at the existing establishment. The Mini Golf systems can be placed anywhere in the world.
The proposition provides tempting economics for investors and has the ability to revitalise a stale business with existing land and infrastructure. The concept has been proven on three large scale, world-class mini golf courses. Two are located in Tasmania and one in Brisbane. The first course has been operating for 4 years now and is located at Grindelwald Resort in Launceston Tasmania. The second is at Barilla Holiday Park, Hobart. This course has its 1st birthday this Easter Holidays 2007. The 3rd course was opened December 2006 at Victoria Park Golf Complex, in the centre of Brisbane, Hurston Rd, Hurston. In all three cases, the mini golf system revolutionised the existing business, turned around their property, and brought substantial gains to the host business and investors alike.
In addition to our 18 Hole Mini Golf Business Models we also have a new concept called Putt & Play Putting Ranges.
An 18 hole course takes up an area of between 2,000 and 3,500 square meters of land area. Putting Ranges can be supplied in modules from 20m2 up to an 18 hole putting range taking up a space of 1,000m2.
Interested? - The following paragraphs document the process to get from where you are now, to the running of a successful Putt & Play business model.
Stage 1: Analysis - Craig is sponsored to come and conduct an analysis of the proposed site and examine the needs of the particular situation. Feasilibility studies are conducted quickly with course design sketches and preliminary costings. The go ahead is then given to progress to the next stage.
Stage 2: Planning and Preperation
Craig designs and costs the course, and then legal agreements are supplies for both the host, investor and Putt & Play. There are 10 shares in a company trust that the Host (location owner) has the first option for one or more shares. The rest of the shares if any are taken up by Barilla Putt & Play and suitable investors agreed upon.
Stage 3: Construction - Craig Bartlett constructs course for the agreed cost which is financed by the investors.
Stage 4: Open to Public
The course is opened. The host company runs the course, Craig manages the marketing and the project begins generating a profit, for distribution to the host, the franchisor and the investors according to the legal agreement.

On October 7 1988, a young gay man was discovered bound to a fence in the hills outside Laramie, Wyoming. He had been savagely beaten and left to die in an act of brutality and hate that reverberated round the world. Matthew Shepard's death became a international symbol of intolerance.
In the aftermath of the death of Matthew Shepard, members of a New York based theatre company, the Tektonic Theatre Project, made six trips to the wide open spaces of Wyoming over the course of a year and a half. They conducted over 200 interviews with people from the town. From these interviews as well as their own experiences, the actors constructed The Laramie Project. Premiered almost a decade ago, the play has received innumerable productions and awards internationally. The Laramie Project uses an ensemble of 8 male and female actors to embody more than sixty different people in their own words - from rural ranchers to university professors. The result is a complex and deeply moving theatrical experience that explores the depths to which humanity can sink - and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
